Used Phones Dubai

Its 2018 already, all the newest smartphones are getting more expensive. If you're ready to buy a smartphone, now is a good time with so many used phones in Dubai available. With so many features and brands to choose from it can be a daunting task knowing what to buy. The most important factor when buying a smartphone or tablet is that the phone is right for you.

"When I bought my first phone, I had no idea what features I needed" Says Kristy Logan customer of Wellinfo. "The salesman at the shop thought I understood what he was talking about ".  In the confusion, Kristy went ahead and bought a used phone from the Dubai second hand market.

'It felt right when I held it, it looked good, I had someone with experience showing me how to use it", Kristy adds "I've had that refurbished phone for over two years at a fraction of the expense".

There is something happening in the world of smart devices that no one is talking about. That is the rise of the used phone market in Dubai. Interestingly enough, it is predicted by industry experts that this market will eat into the new market in 2018.

Did you know that hundreds of thousands of used phones and tablets are discarded in the UAE each year? This figure is set to rise exponentially.

Now people are starting to see the benefits of trading in their used phone and also buying a refurbished phone, tablet or laptop. The trend in 2018 will be to buy your handset outright and take a SIM only deal. "People don't want to be tied into 2 year contracts anymore" says Amir from Wellinfo, "The SIM only deals are much cheaper because they don't include the cost of the handset".

"The contracts were once appealing because the phones were too expensive outright".

"Now with the explosion of these used phones in Dubai, consumers can buy the phone they want at a discounted price" says Amir and he adds

"These phones are latest models, as good as new and often hardly ever used. Like cars, new smartphones, tablets and laptops lose their value as soon as you walk out of the shop"

So, if you are in the market for a used phone or you like to change your devise regularly, then consider the refurbished phone market to help you keep connected.

Is this kind of market available on the USA? I would love to buy a good refurbished phone (a Galaxy S7 would be nice). And what about other electronics devices like laptops? I have heard that in Japan there are also a lot of people "throwing" their electronic devices while they are still in good shape because they bought the latest model, what a waste :(

Hi there! Wow that's awesome news! I honestly dislike being on a contract. And the only reason I am on a contract, like you had mentioned, because I cannot afford to purchase a new phone. I was wondering though, is this service available in Canada. If yes, what sort of phones are available? Thanks

This is great timing that I ran into this post! I had an international student staying with me from Dubai. He has since returned to his country, but he bought a cell phone on EBay while here staying with me. I just got a Facebook message from him, and his phone now does not work in Dubai. I really don't know how to help him. Would he be able to get help there in Dubai to get his phone working. I believe it was supposed to be an unlocked international phone, so not sure why it is not working.
